Welcome to YOUR DOJANG!! |
There are many different reasons that people choose to practice Taekwondo. Whether it is for stress relief, self-defense training, the thrill of competition, or the grace and focus of the art, we hope you will find a home here with us, and we would like to again welcome you to the Taekwondo family!
Taekwondo is taught with the belief that everyone has the right to feel safe. Taekwondo is also the fastest growing style of martial art and sport in the world. The style we practice is called the Jidokwan style, which stresses systematic training techniques and superior sparring ability. The Jidokwan motto is 7 times down, 8 times up and stresses perseverance. Jidokwan style is commonly referred to as the 'Olympic Style' and it is directed at optimizing each student’s strengths. Our philosophy is well rounded, using both the mind and the body to become the best you can be. We accentuate the positive and help students see and utilize their potential.
We hope you see that there is great power in peace. It should be noted that the first move in every Taekwondo form is a defensive move and the last move is an attack, further signifying our goal to fight only when absolutely necessary and when necessary, we will be the last one standing.
